What Does 5/10 Mean for My Property?
The report describes Class 5 eligibility within five road miles of a recognized fire station under the applicable alternative water supply criteria, without a hydrant-distance requirement. It describes Class 10 for properties beyond five road miles, with a separate, property-specific Class 10W provision for qualifying locations within five to seven road miles.
The classification is not a blanket Class 5 designation for every address. Ask your insurance agent to verify the classification applied to your specific property, including road distance, recognized station coverage, water supply, and any individual property requirements.
